Transfer of Property Act, 1882–Sec. 106–Decree of suit on the ground of non-payment of rent–Once the land-lord proved tenancy and rent due through independent witnesses or circumstantial evidence, mere oral assertion of payment without documentary proof cannot be accepted–Witnesses produced by the defendant could not satisfy that when and how much rent was paid to the respondent-plaintiff–Held, suit was rightly decreed.
