Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Rules. 1996–Rules 156 & 157–Revision for cancellation of patta–Dismissal of–Land qua which the patta had been issued was a land/shop and not a residential premise–Perusal of patta in question shows that the same was issued in an auction–Such fact seems to be incorrect–It was not possible that the auction and resolution of Panchayat could have been passed on the same day–Further, no material is available to show that the auction proceedings were undertaken by the Gram Panchayat–None of the conditions as prescribed in Rule 156 applies in the instant case–Patta was issued de hors the provisions of Act–It is liable to be cancelled.
