Penal Code, 1860–Sec. 454 & 380–Probation of Offender Act, 1958–Sec. 4–Conviction–Sentence has been reduced by the appellate Court up to to the period of six months for each offence–Incident pertains to the year 1984 and appeal is pending since the year 1999–Petitioner was aged below 18 years on the day of the commission of offence–No criminal antecedent–Held, he shall be released on probation u/s. 4 of the Act.
