Penal Code, 1860–Secs. 420, 467, 468 & 471–Registration Act, 1908–Sec. 83–FIR for the offence–Quashed by the High Court–Justification–Secs. 82 & 83 of the Act empowers the Inspector General, the Registrar and Sub-Registrar, in whose territories, district or sub-district, the offence stood committed–Observation of High Court that the FIR has been lodged by the Sub-Registrar of District in spite of no order of Inspector General, is not proper–Impugned order passed by the High Court is liable to be quashed.
