Minimum Wages Act, 1948–Secs. 3(3)(b) & 15–Notification dated 24.05.2008–Appellant was held entitled for minimum wages of Rs. 1,300/- per month for four hours per day–Justification–Notification dated 24.05.2008 provides for minimum wages of unskilled workers engaged in various kinds–Minimum wages on monthly and day basis have been fixed–It was not fixed on hourly basis in view of enabling provision of Sec. 3(3)(b)–Section 15 protects such workers against the deduction of wages on the ground that his/her working hours constitute less than the working hours of a normal day–Directed accordingly.
